Grihapravesha Ceremony and Inauguration of Shadvala

On 13th March 2008, the Grihapravesha Ceremony was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. K. C. Dave of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi together with Pandit Harish Nagar.

The inaugural function of the Center began with the vedic chanting by Prof. Dave. Anand Mishra welcomed the guests and Prof. Dr. Monika Boehm-Tettelbach (University of Heidelberg, Germany) delivered the inaugural speech. Swami Ramakrishnadas Shrivaishnava (Umaran, Kanpur) and Rev. Fr. Dr. Vensus George SAC (Pallotti Institute of Philosophy and Religion, Assagao, Goa) gave their blessings. This was followed by recitation of sanskrit poetry by Pt. G. S. Mishra.

Earlier, the inaugural lamp was lighted by Smt. Shashikala Kakodkar 'Tai', the ex-chief-minister of Goa. Rakesh Narvekar, together with other artists, presented the cultural programme.

On this occasion, Siddhanti Parab of Bicholim made a Rangoli of (Late) Prof. Dr. K. N. Mishra, the prime visionary of this center.

Around 200 guests, including several scholars from different parts of the country and world attended the function.
